Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and returns its response. We do not keep or log those search terms on our own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other direct message may be retained long enough to answer and maintain the exchange. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers receive basic technical and usage details when a page loads, including:
- Page-view timestamps and the pages visited
- Time spent on individual pages
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- The referring website, when one is available
- The device’s assigned IP address
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They and our analytics services help combine traffic information, such as popular pages and points where visits end. A browser can block cookies at any time, although doing so may change how some website functions behave.

- Diagnosing faults and correcting technical problems
- Operating the website and maintaining page performance
- Directing search requests to the selected partner service
- Measuring which content visitors use

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Cibola County Criminal History does not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal-record information. It publishes general directions to Cibola courts, local police custodians, the New Mexico Department of Public Safety, the New Mexico Corrections Department, and the New Mexico DPS Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor data is not compiled into consumer reports or criminal records about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted to a tool is governed by that company’s privacy policy rather than this policy. We do not control the provider’s retention or disclosure practices. Review its terms before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Cibola court pages, Grants city sources, New Mexico agencies, legal resources, or outside search services. Once you follow a link, the destination’s policy controls the visit. Check that policy before providing personal information.
Some advertising providers may track activity across websites for targeted advertising. That processing occurs on their systems.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Data may be available to:
- Analytics vendors that measure use and performance
- Advertising networks that place ads on these pages
- Search providers that process a query submitted to their tool
- A government body or law-enforcement agency when valid legal process requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
We use standard safeguards for the information under our control. No internet system is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee that a breach or unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone younger than 18. If we learn that a minor supplied personal information, we will remove it.
Your Data Rights
Rights can vary with residence and applicable law. New Mexico’s Inspection of Public Records Act, NMSA 1978 §§14-2-1 through 14-2-12, governs access to public records held by government custodians, while NMSA 1978 §29-10-6 controls a subject’s inspection of that person’s arrest information. Those laws do not make this private site a government records custodian. Where applicable law provides a right, you may:
- Request access to personal information held about you
- Ask that inaccurate personal information be corrected
- Seek deletion where the law permits it
- Opt out of processing where an applicable law supplies that choice

This policy may be revised. A changed version will be posted here and will identify its new effective date.
